Help! Oil Gauge problem / Service vehicle soon

I recently was involved in a rear end collision which wasn't too major. The body shop had to replace my exhaust, rear facia, rear wheel well, and allignment. When I picked up my vehicle I noticed my oil pressure gauge was pegged out to 80 and the DIC says 128 PSI. This shows even when the engine is not running. Also my DIC is showing "Service vehicle soon" which in my book points to an electrical problem.

The codes are:
10PCM - P1571H
28TCS - C1281H
38RTD - NO COMMUNICATION (I DO NOT HAVE THE ADJUSTABLE REAL TIME DAMPENNING)
80 RADIO - U1016H
99HAV - B0361H

My body shop and insurance are working with me to resolve this. I am making an appointment with the Dealer for tomorrow. I just wanted a better understanding before I take my car in so I make the determination if the wreck caused it or the age caused it (1997)

Can anyone tell me about the codes I have listed? Any help would be appreciated.....

Mike

DIC error / oil pressure gage pegged

Mike,
I am having the same problem with my oil gage. I am displaying 10 PCM P0332 Knock sensor circuit rear code. But, it is obvious we are having oil gage / sensor problems. Has anyone else experienced this problem?? Mike is you find out what is happening please let me know..

Your code are as follows.
10PCM - P1571H = ASR desired torque (I am not sure what ASR is.)
28TCS - C1281H = steering function uncorrelated malfuction
80 RADIO - U1016H = loss of communications with PCM
99HAV - B0361H = left actuator feedback short to ground

I hope this helps
Frank

I'm gonna guess that Mike's 97 has wiring and connection problems as a result of the collision or the repairs. No doubt with all those codes set, it's going to be hard to get anyone who will be willing to pay for the diagnostic work to track down all the problems.

Frank's 97 may have a shorted/corroded rear KS. This problem is discussed in a service bulletin GM issued a couple of years ago.

As for the oil gauge...first I'd suggest wiring or connections, second a sender and third is the IP cluster, itself.

Oil Pressure and Rear Knock Sensor

Thanks Hib,
I will start at the Connections and wiring for the oil pressure gage issue.

The knock sensor is the 3rd or 4th that has been replaced. The bullentin if this is a laten defect.

Thanks for the suggestions

Frank
