I installed an Air foil in my 1987 coupe (L98) and when I removed the throttle body cover plate I noticed it was visibly wet from oil. A further examination of the area behind the are behing the butterfly area revealed carbon build up on the rear and oil within the plenum area. I have replaced the PCV valve once already. How much if any oil is normal and are there bigger PCV valves to be purchased for my car?

What makes you think it's coming from the PCV valve? There's a breather hose on the passenger side that runs from the top of the valve cover to the throttle body. I get noticeable amounts of oil sucked up through that...

I removed my TB & plenum for cleaning, after 115K miles. There was plenty of carbon build-up, but no trace of oil.
I guess your oil has to be coming from the breather or PCV valve.
