Oil Leak

The oil leak has to be the cover gaskets. had the same problemI changed mine. I think it's Jegs or it could be Summit Racing...They have a thick rubber gasket with a spacer molded into the rubber so they won't crush. Supposed to be the ultimate in reusable gaskets that seal.

FEL-PRO sells a thick blue reusable gasket that works great - but doesn't have a steel core. I had their cork/steel one and it worked OK but the blue ones are better.

Found my leak... the tube is actually split where it was bent to fit around the headers. Under pressure, oil is leaking out of the slit and dripping onto the exhaust.

Thats sweet that you found your problem. So far for mine it has not started leaking again since the last visit to the shop, but the lifters are still ticking and he doesnt want to turn them any more then the one turn he already has them set at. I know when I change over to synthetic oil, the leak will probably return.
