Just for information. Every since I purchased my 1990 L98 coupe two months ago I have had a small oil leak. Oil was running down the bell housing so I thought it was a bad intake gasket. Finally got time to take a good look at it today. Oil was dripping from the sending unit area. It turns out that it is the oil pressure switch for the fuel cut off that is located next to the oil pressure sender unit. The oil was coming out around the boot where the wire plugs into the switch. Removed wire and switch and the inside of the area where the wire plugs in was full of oil.
Sure glad I looked before pulling the intake.

Same thing happened to my 86 except it was a gusher. Pumped 5 qts out faster than you would believe.

last summer I had a little oil down the belhousing .I wasn't so lucky, it was the intake. Replace that and it has been dry since.

Mine was getting worse every time I drove it. Trying to get everything fixed so I can go to the Mid America get together in a couple weeks.
