Welcome to the CAC

Most common would be the valve covers. You could pressure wash your engine and then it would be easier to see where a leak is coming from.

Not valve covers engine is very clean all around I was thinking Oil pan oil filter worst case rear seal car was sitting in a collection for a while gaskets dry out it slowed down a little after two weeks of on and off driving.I have a small window to get this fixed seller will pay. Will probably drive to Rockland and see if mechanic will schedule me in.

The rear main is a common place for these Gen 1 small block chevy engines to leak. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do to prevent it from leaking. Even if you manage to stop it temporarily, it will eventually come back.
