how many miles do you have? any major problems?

ive got a 97 C5 with 67,000 on it. no major probs so far.

It's good to know that maybe I can get another 14k without major problems.

176,000 miles 1997 silver cpe I driver 84.5 miles one way to work
and love every mile(see my post a few down 2000 trans in a 97 )
only major prob. yet, and very few minor ones regularly see trip digits (early in the morning all alone nice smooth open road you know)
doesnt smoke still gets 23.5 mpg paint still looks good (other than some small rock chips in the front and on the mirrors )
I even drive it in the rain (just slower)
I have replaced driver seat skins & foam,@130,000
mobile 1 every 4500 miles, brake pads (GM) 50,000 & 95,000
new pads rotors wheel bearings @ 140,000 (mostly for piece of mind )

AND A BUNCH OF TIRES!!!
I now run goodyear eagle F1's NON !! EMT's stock size's
tried emt's,stones, pilot sports, I like the goodyears & through
discount tires w/ some negotiation all 4 mounted & balanced
right at $700 total
vette is still very tight & still turns heads... rmoore321

Well, I guess with 3,200 miles, my '02 isn't going to win the "Most Miles" award!:L

Drive More

5,100 miles on my 01 and the only complaint is that I don't drive it enough. My impression is that C5's, provided they are routinely maintained, are very reliable cars. I just need to drive mine a little more. Plan to make a couple of trips this year. Montreal and Quebec in July and of coarse Carlisle in August.

Garage Queen here.... 5100 miles on an '02 Coupe. I do plan on more miles this year if the snow ever disappears!:Steer

Garage-a-fobia

Steve,

This snow thing is so bad - my wife has removed all sharpe objects from the garage. She says she's starting to worry about me when I'm out there alone.

2000 coupe with 74600 miles and the daily driver with several road trips to Tucson Az. from Chicago. No major problems except leaking differential and warped rotors at 30000. Man I love those road trips.

Elaine, we may be almost tied there. I think my 02 has 3400 on it :) By the way, somewhere I thought I read that you know the build date on it... where did you find out?

Boy I guess we drive our vette to much. We have 6800 miles on our 02 C5 and we only bought it in Oct 02. With the sunshine that we get makes you want to take it out. It doesn't snow here so we don't have to worry about that. Also my wivfe drives it to work, rain or shine. Well it's sunny out side and probably will be in the 60's today I think we should go for a nice ride. Everyone have a nice day.

Tammy,

I ordered the build sheet and window sticker from the Museum. It was "born" Feb. 25, 2002.

Mine has a shade over 4,000 on the clock. It will likely stay that way for some time since I am away for probably quite some time.

I brought a picture of it with me. I thought what the heck, no girlfriend, no wife, no kids. Well, a 4-wheeled kid.

Mrs Schroder,
Post your vin # and I'll get you your born date.

23,000 on my '01.

Pedro

A little over 1,000 miles on my 02 EB coupe, but since I have 3 vettes, it's not like I HAVE to drive the newest one...:booty

Well I guess I don't qualify either. . .
18k on my '98 pace car. . sorry guys;shrug
