Bushings finally went in left front headlight. New bushings ordered, instructions are printed out. While I've got it all apart, I'm going to replace my dim yellow headlights. I know I've read about replacements here, but came up empty after searching for headlight, headlights, headlight replacement, etc. Any and all suggestions for replacement lights or housing with replaceable bulbs would be appreciated.Thanks.

I've been using the Hella "European" lights in my C4 for years and I still like them. MidAmerica - 601-857 - $54.99 each

I've been reading about the new Sylvania bulbs but my Hella's are still working too good to replace.

Sylvania Silverstars are about $12.00 each at Advance Auto. Much whiter and brighter than original lamps.

That's the route that I took.

It was easy changing them. I think it's 4 screws holding the light in?

Hella lights rock, especially with 65/80 watt bulbs! Note higher wattage bulbs require beefing up the wire and circuit breakers (80/100's will cook squirrels at 20 yds though.)

I bought a pair of these Neolite's ($50.00 pair with bulbs) for
my 1981 C3 3 1/2 years ago.
I wanted to have a set of those IRRITATING lights also.
They are NEOLITE H-4 P43T. They came with the Krypton 3900
Xenon bulbs H-4, 100/80. Checked amperage draw, etc.
Have not had a problem with wires overheating or fuses blowning.
Even had them on for 4 hours straight. Then gas stop and another
5.30 hours. Nothing unusual. Wiring was not hot.
Except for adjusting them, no problems. And they are IRRITATING to others also. The CHP pull over one lane when I get behind them.
They were also checked at an official lamp station. My choice to double check my work. Check it out for your self. They are WHITE..
