Sorry to bring this up again, but I live in rural Missouri.........there ain't no tire/wheel shops out here to go ask!

It appears to me that Cragar SS #61715, with 215/65R 15 tires will be a nice fit. The wheels are 7 inches wide and the backspacing is 4.125 inches, which appears to me to close to the stock wheel's backspacing. There's also a #61615, which is 6 inches wide, with 3.375 inch backspacing. Goodyear GT-HR tires look like a good compromise between cheapos and premmies.

What say, advisory group??

It took me a while to decide what tire I wanted and finally settled with the Goodyear GT 215X65R15`s. The 205`s seemed to small, like donuts. :D and the 70 and 75 series of any tire were too tall and with a 60 I was afraid they would also rub. The 215`s by 65 were my compromise tire and worked out for the best. They say the speedo reads differently, but I haven`t noticed any real change. Also a 15X7 wheel is about the largest you can put on the car with out rubbing front or rear or using air shocks which would be deplorable. :ugh This is my tire experience for my car, others have other views and some by not using all 4 corners with the same size tire. But do as you want, :upthumbs

Thanks for the reply! The photo of your 62 helped convince me to go with Cragars, plus the tire size you chose looked right to me, too. My concern is picking the right Cragar.........the "technical assistant" at Summit Racing would not offer any help - - - car's too old for him, I suppose. Summit had the best pricing I've seen so far. Thanks again!
