Hi, I'm looking for the correct one wire alternator with the built in voltage regulator that will work in my 66 327/300 no air. I want to eliminate the external voltage regulator and just have the battery wire going to the alternator. Do I just disconnect the terminals that go to the alternator and voltage regulator when I install the new one? seems too simple, what am I missing? thanks for your help, vinny

Before you do that, you might want to read about 1-wire vs. 3-wire integral-regulator alternators at www.madelectrical.com .
