Anybody know of a simple way of telling if the ECM has gone to closed loop while you are driving?

Is the Overdrive starting to work an indication or is that purely temp related?

I replaced the O2 sensor thinking it was getting lazy, now I'm curious about when the ECM is going to closed loop.

The car is an 85 with the 4+3 trans.

Thanks ... Ron ... :beer

after 150 degrees water temp it should go in closed loop i think. atleast thats what i was told about my 87.

Assuming the ECM timers have gone off, which varies for startup temp, it should be in closed loop at around 150-160.

You can hook up a scanner and that will show the O2 going into closed loop also.
