Just looking for good informed opinions as to cut quality and ease of installation.

thanks!

I got my new carpet from Al Knoch, via either Paragon or Mid-America, can't remember which.

Anyway, the carpet installed ok, no real big problems.

- I thought the carpet itself was extremely thin. I'm a little worried about wear, but then again, I don't drive the car too much and have floormats. The quality of it just felt cheap, but maybe it matches the original exactly?

- There was not enough material, where the two front halves meet in the center, just behind the console where the armrest goes (in my 66 anyway). I had about 2 inches where no carpet was. I don't have an armrest, so it showed (I ended up buying a 4 piece floor mat set and used one of the square back pieces to fix this problem. If you have an armrest, no big deal.

- I used the 3M adhesive and I didn't think it stuck too well on the vertical pieces. I would use stronger adhesive next time (Of course if the interior gets wet, the ease of removal might be a plus.)

- You might want to order some floor pan plugs if any of yours are missing and you intend to drive in the rain occasionally.

I have the jute carpet underlay material, new, never used, still in box, and will sell it for $75.00 and you pay shipping, normally cost $129. This has backing insulation for heat. Email me if you are interested.

Is this the factory correct backing or the ceramic heat blocking material?
Thanks!
