can you please remove the picture of your blue car with the wheels from your posts? your killing me with that! I HAVE TO HAVE A BLUE CAR WITH THOSE WHEELS!

You've got excellent taste, man. :D

There is another member here named Mako, I think, with a blue 69 t-top with these wheels. He has a nice website too.

Just adding more fuel to the fire...

Sure, but you wouldn't like my "buy it now" price, since I've dumped over $25K into it.

Hi Goertz, I bought my 75 vert 2 Yrs ago. pretty much the same condition.($12.000) this ad says original paint, weatherstriping, ect. this weather striping cant last much longer ,there is lots of rust on the frame and A-arms (in the pics shown) the Hard top should have a chrome strip around the front and sides. (looks like painted edge on the pic?)if the suspension was rebuilt?, the Ft shock towers dont show new bolts, also the Pass side exhaust pipe pic. shows a bracket sticking out? with nothing attached, and the pipe looks good but Im not sure if its new or not?wheres the rust?or the so-so shine new look?.
next question? are you going to go ncrs?, or resto rod corvette?,eighter way I'd have to say,try to stay around the $12,500 range.
remember 1 g for weather striping/at least 3Gs Min. for paint, and motor may be great, but will need a rebuild someday. anoughter ?Gs.
R you looking for blue color?, Myself alsawy wanted White vert. found her but she wasent original .... my car was originaly blue. but for myself I didnt want ncrs , just a fun resto corvette. that I drive about one weekend (every other month ), just cant stop doing the next great thing to her.
Ft & Rear suspension, detail gas tank, replace the rear bubmer with a fiberglass 82 style, new glass, new soft top. ect ect. lol this is my money pit also.
but what fun to drive. will always do it again. have fun,and good luck.

yeah, I'm pretty picky as to what I want. not going NCRS, but would still like matching #'s and original paint color. Not concerned if the paint or interior is original, just as long as it's the original color. It has to be blue, and it has to be a 4 speed. really looking for a '69-72, but would consider another '73 if the price was right. that being said, I am looking to spend $25,000 on the right car. the above preferences are non-nogotiable, but I would do a 427/4spd/coupe, or a convertable with a small block, as long as it's a 4 speed and the right colors, or if the gods really smile on me, a 427/4spd/conv. although, it seems like those in decent shape go for more than I have to spend. Of course, once I get the car I want, I'll be selling the Elkhart green 73 coupe that I have now.

Follow this auction

http://www.classic-carauction.com/

They publish a run list prior to the auction on their web site so you can see if a car you are interested in will be there, I've seen some decent early C3 cars run through. The auction prices are still reasonable.

My '84 turned 175,000 in Kansas City on the way back from Cruisefest. :D

Goertz....do you have the name of the owner? I've been asking the local club(s) if they know who it is. BTW...are you familiar with the RMCSC? www.rmcsc.org

Bill

I can't remember his name, sorry about that. He does live here in CS, off Academy and Carefree, and I know he goes to some local shows with the car. he honestly believes everything he claims, but it's just not the way it really is.

here's an update on this car. i looked at the auction, and saw that it was ended early due to collision damage. I called the guy back, his name is Joe, and asked what happened. I thought maybe he ended the auction early and sold it to someone. he said the brakes went out, which resulted in fiberglass everywhere, and the car was probably totalled. too bad, although it wasn't a 44k mile survivor, it was a nice looking car.
