Opinions on this sensor problem

My temp gauge slowly disappeared again (reading "LO") The first time I reinstalled the low coolant sensor(new radiator install) and connected the hanging wire for it. 6 months later, I replaced it again as it looked like it had been eaten away. I always run proper coolant and thought sensor was defective and bought a second one.

Today I lost my gauge again and pulled the low sensor to find it was being eaten up as well. any thoughts or ideas why this could be happening?

When was the last time you changed the coolant?

The coolant was changed last spring....but it happened the first time after it was changed
