;helpWhen I bought my 1980 last October one of the few things that had been replaced with 42,000 miles was the carburetor. It has a Rochester Q. on it, but there is also a rebuilt tag on it also. Not the original carb. Due to the way it runs sometime I want to find a original and go back with it. The original Rochester is a THM, Model M4ME with the number 17080228.
I found one on the web at Guaranteed Carburetors that will have to be rebuilt. They have to do the rebuild before they can sell it.
The guy that I am talking to said he does not see the model M4ME on the carb. anywhere, but the number is the correct number, 17080228.
Does anyone know that if the number matches, and without finding the model M4ME on the carb. that if it will truly be the carburetor I need?
Thanks,
Glenn
