Besides, it is sold, but the guy can't come get it till after the 1st of the year...

Finally got the Forms and Rock spread in place and now for the Fun Part...

CONCRETE...


Not any good at this, so will leave this part to the Pros...

BTW, have installed 1.5" BlueBoard Insulation under the Rock and will have a Thermal Water Heated Floor in the Garage. Should keep the Garage at a pleasant 65+ Degrees Year Round...

Will be looking forward to getting the Corvette in the Warm, Dry area to continue the Project...

Just placed my Order for the American Racing 200S 2-Piece Alloy Wheels for the Vette...

17 x 9.5's with Lugs, Center Caps, & Stems

Total Price Shipped to my Door: $ 1,119.60

I always liked the looks of the 60's Model Wheels...

Cold weather is now setting in here in Tennessee, so now 1st Priority is getting the Garage in the Dry within the Next Few Weeks...

Then, its back to the Project...

I looked at a set of these wheels the other day and they were very smooth...

Looks a lot better than they did a few months ago...

But the set that a friend has was Excellent in Appearance, Balanced with NO PROBLEMS, and look great on his 86 Corvette...

Well, here it is almost 2 Months and nothing done on the Garage yet (much less the 84 Vette)...

The Money isn't the problem here as I have a little put up for the Vette Project as well as the Garage...

Can't install the In-Floor Tubing (Heated Floor) and also can't pour the Concrete until the tubing is in. Tubing won't bend right with it so cold. Even tried heating the Tubing to see if I could lay it out, but no go...

We are supposed to get back into the Upper 40's/Lower 50's by the Weekend, so maybe then...

What piping are you using?

I used Kitec® XPA™ pipe ... Very nice piping.
I also insulated under the floor prior to pouring the concrete.
Poured a 6" slab with rebar ever 12". I tied the piping to the rebar.

ALSO, because I am planning on painting, and using other such flammables,
I am using an Electric boiler for heating.

I got some great advice from folk here using the "Corvette Stables" forum. I implimented such suggestions as: install a bathroom, floor drain, patio door and 9 1/2 foot ceiling (Highest MY code will allow)

Using the Vanguard PEX Tubing with a 3 Zone Manifold...

I have (2) 6-mil Layers of Plastic and 2" of Poly Blueboard Insulation under the Concrete (4,000) Slab which will be approximately 8 Inches thick with Fiberglass strands imbedded within the Concrete. I have the Mesh layed down for extra support, but is not needed here as we have NO CODE (only Electrical)...

This Garage is near my home, so will only be used for my Vette Project and also for performing maintenance to my vehicles. I also will be doing some painting and will have a "New" Crossflow Ventilation System which I have designed. Main heat will be Propane. This is the reason behind the Hydro Floor Heating as the Propane Heat will be shut down prior to painting, so we need heat...

The Main Garage elsewhere on my Property (which will be started in Spring, 2004), will be 60 x 100 and will be used for our Business (Outlaw Kustoms) which deals with Kustomizing, Painting, Powdercoating, and new to come by July, 2004, all Aspects of Plating...

Wow! I just caught this thread and spent about an hour reading every post and looking at the photos. I'm totally hooked on watching this to completion. That is going to be one nice car so I'm hoping the weather gets better for you. I just wish I had the money and layout to do something like that!!! and kudos to the wife for being so supportive. Well, finally, the weather is starting to get a little better and the Concrete Finishers will be out next week to see what they can do...

Drains are in, Water, Power, and Cable TV/Cat5e Piping is in place, 2" of Blueboard Insulation is installed, Tubing is down, plastic (8 mil) is now in place, and the 4x4 Steel Meshing is in (as well as the 1" Rebar around the perimeter fo the Garage)...

It may just be a pretty good winter after all...

Over 1 Month and still no Concrete Floor...

Will surely be in next week with the 60 Degree Weather change (if it doesn't rain the entire time)...

Well, as I have been occupied for a number of weeks (and still no concrete), I am hoping to get this started again...

Also, as I have kinda been dense lately, I let my website go and now lost my pictures posted here. Hopefully within the next few weeks, I will be starting a New Website (www.outlawkustoms.com) and will be hosting my pictures there...

Time to get the tools back out and get ready to finish this project...
