P/S Carpet Soaked w/ oil!!!

The evaporator core is located on the engine side of the firewall and is sealed off from the passenger compartment. There is a water drain under it that any oil leaking from the core will migrate to. I doubt it would leak into the passenger compartment as it is designed to drain the water condensation outside onto the road and not into the passenger compartment. Any oil leaking will take the same path as the water.

You're right. But if the drain is not open and oil has accumulated, and the housing has a leak....
