Anyone ever had the metal pipe running from the power steering reservoir to the pump leak? After the engine runs awhile and warms up several drops of oil run to the bottom of the pipe. It doesn't smell like engine oil, no real smell. Not running down from the pump as tube feels dry. I put a couple of thin washers under the two retaining bolts to move it away from the timing chain cover to try to eliminate it touching the pipe; still had the oil drip problem. Any ideas?

When i did the front oil seal I found this pipe difficult to get back in place as well. There is a lot going on in this location. Could it be PS fluid from the reservoir rather than the pump? Could the front seal be leaking? If no smell to the fluid could you have a water pump leak?

Thanks for the info. I tried a few drops of engine oil, oil from p/s reservoir, and oil from bottom of pipe. The engine oil is different from other two. It doesn't smell like antifreeze. I put on a new distributor as well a a new water pump. Next step I guess is to take off the pipe and look. Have to get a quart or so of the p/s fluid. Oh well!!
