Question: Paint good for fiberglass floor and one-sided adhesive?

'73 taken from the Arizona desert.

Any paint recommendation for the fiberglass floor that will work well with the fiberglass and heat/sound insulation? I plan on putting one-side adhesive heat and sound insulation throughout the floor and toe boards. Want a paint that works well with the fiberglass and the adhesive.

Yes, I am a newb.

You do not need any specialized paint for fiberglass underbodies. Rattle can hot rod primer off the shelf at Wally World works as well as any thing more expensive. Food for Thought: why paint the floors when you intend to cover them up with insulaiton and, later, carpet?

Thanks Mike. I asked because I've never painted fiberglass before and wanted to do the right thing from the start.

Why paint the floor when it will be covered? The car spent decades in the Arizona desert. It seems to have only its factory paint, and the paint has "set into" the fiberglass everywhere. So to preserve and protect I will Wally Can it.

FWIW: the more you look over your car, the more likely you are to find raw, unpainted fiberglass panels. These are factory stock. GM saw no purpose to be served by painting them.
