I need to have my '73's parking cables repaired. They are froze up after they split to the brakes.I was going to purchase a complete rebuild kit but not sure which to buy. Since I have 4 wheel discs,I don't need the one with the shoes correct? I don't want to just buy the cable then find out the installer needs retainers, clips and nuts too.I'm confused ( more than normal ) about the different kits. Sucks having no parking brake with a manual transmission!
Any info and help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Jeff

I would suggest you do it all. The shoes and the hardware ie clips and springs. Most likely he springs and retainers a rusted and beyond use. Stainless is available now. I have seen where the clips have broken and then the shoe destroyes the rotor. Any Corvette parts supplier will have what you need. I used Wilcox on ebay.Jack

I second what Art said.....do it all while your'e at it.....a good pulling cable with bad brake hardware is useless.....

thanks for the help.I bought the kit but mechanic said the shoes looked like they were in very good condition.Ended up replacing the rear cables and some of the hardware.Hopefully this will do the trick. At least I have the parts in case any thing else goes out.
