Help! passive keyless entry light stays on

Hi this is Craven with my 93 coupe. my problem is the passive keyless entry light is staying on and running down the battery. why is this happening, and what can i do to undo this problem??? waiting to hear from someone who has had similar problem.

1) Has the PKE system ever worked?

2) Do the power door locks work using the manual door lock switches?

The PKE module is most likely bad since you say the light stays on solid with the ignition OFF. It drives the Passive Indicator light bulb.

Verify the 5 amp PKE fuse is good.
Verify the RDO 5 amp fuse is good.

The module is under the dash pad right side of the dash cluster as it curves down toward the passenger side of the dash cluster. The chime module is velcroed on top of it. To replace it requires the dash pad be removed.

I don't believe new modules are available but used ones are.
