I had to drive through what midwesterners call a flash flood a couple of days ago. I became concerned about the depth of the water. I checked for water ingestion and found none. However, when I pulled the PCM cover it was obvious that a considerable amount of water had leaked in. I disconnected the battery and used a yard blower to dry the area. Drove the car for approx. 45 min. the following day. It did not throw any codes. My question is how water tight are the connecters in this area.

HI there,
Water intrusion is usually not an issue, through the connectors, or otherwise.
PCM is engineered to withstand substantial soakings.
I would say not to worry, as long as everything is operating normally.

Golf man--

I used to work for a company that manufactured and tested connectors like those found on the PCm and other places. We supplied them for Ford and Chrysler though. I can say with no reservations that they are pretty darn water tight!!We spent literally millions of dollars testing so that wouldn't happen.

good Luck!
Save the wave!!
