Performance Computer Chips???

Just got my 1991 Roadster this past week and man do I love it!

The car has the JET STG2 chip installed and I wondered if anyone has tried the DYNO SOURCES chip???

The Jet seems to cause hesitations and does not run real smooth.

Any thoughts?

If you are going to use a peformance chip I would go with Hypertech ;worship and about the Dyno Sources chip, it seems it's made for trucks and rv's. I don't know much about the JET STG2.

By the way, what type of R/C truck do you run? Batt or gas. I used to race my Losi LXT a few years back.

For my $0.02 worth a custom chip is the only to go.

The Guru who built my engin burnt the chip 3 times before he was happy with it. My only complaint is that it takes a long time for it to go ¨closed loop¨ on a cold day. It is a thousand times better than any off the shelf job you can buy.

Jeff, one of the Mods here burns custom chips. You should check with him before spending any $.

How is the flying weather there? We have blue sky and 70º today.

Aftermarket chips are not worthless. I have the Ed Wright Fastchip in my92. I have minor mods on the car. The chip did make a difference. And it wasn't just turning the fans on early. When I talked to them they told me not to bother with a custom burnt chip for a stock engine. Big waste of money. Get a custom burnt chip for fairly modified engine.

I agree in the respects that each and every one of our cars is modded differently so we need a custom chip. I had mine done by Jeff and I'm extremely satisfied with the results.

Chip's rarely go bad.....Have you checked your ignition system before trying to make any fixes????
