Looks pretty good Brian, you gonna clean up the area any more or do you think it's good enough. It appears there is a bit of excess metal left in the chamber that could be smoothed somewhat.

Neat thing about aluminum heads - you can repair them fairly easily. :upthumbs

way cool scorp!

Im going to assume that is the finised product?

Anything else you going to do to the bottom end before you put it back together?

Ken,

I was sitting here and my dad goes "Hey come check this out, I just finished cleaning up your head." Anyways... he said he was bored and wanted to finish cleaning it up.

TNT, not sure. About the only thing I can really think of adding at this time without going nutty is a rev'kit. I don't really even need one, but I'd like to see if I pick up any HP in the 6000-6300 range.

now that looks alot better! What about the pitting in the quench area?

What kind of head bolts are you using?

ARP has a newer set of head bolts that incorporate a allen nut in the bolt head. It is suppose to be super strong and really good for nitrous.

These are the bolts my engine builder used on my heads.

The pits we think "should" be ok. They are fairly shallow and no sharp edges.

So far I've been using the $65.00 ARP head bolts. Do you know if ARP has updated their website with these new ones you mention?

Glad you like it, ken. :)
