Pics of New Paint Job, 17" Chrome Wheels on the way

What tires were you using before the swap? I have 255-60 Dunlops on now and mine is pretty "darty". Suspension appears to be tight too.

thanks

I had 235s all the way around on 15x7" wheels. I just replaced my rear spring with a gymkhana leaf. I have some "play" in the steering wheel which may be causing it to feel darty also.

Rear leaf

Sorry to keep dragging this out but what do you think of the rear leaf? What's the rate? Why didn't you go with a glass spring?

I have 550's on the front but still using a stock 9 leaf rear spring.

thanks

I'm very pleased with the rear leaf. I've heard people say that the Gymkhana spring is too harsh, but I don't think it's as rough riding as people think. However, anything would have been an improvement to what I had when I purchased the car. The original leaf was so worn out that I would bottom out on any and everything on the road. I'm not sure what the rating is on it, but I do know it's the 7 leaf, Gymkhana version (purchased from ecklers, about $130). The new leaf raised the car 3 inches in the back. I didn't go with the glass spring because I've heard a few stories of them "breaking down" from the heat generated by the exhaust pipes. If it weren't for those stories I would have gone for the glass spring because of the weight savings.
