Hi all,

Well got to work on it a bit over the weekend, got alot of detail work to do yet...the flames turned out like I wanted, don't know they are there unless the light and angle is right...not perfect, but ok for a backyard job. Heres the pics.

Thanks
Jack

looks very nice

you said you did it yourself paint or decals? Still fighting with myself to do that to my 97. It looks really nice on your car :) Great job

Very Nice!

Could you do us a favor, and take us through step by step how you prepped the car and laid up those gorgeous flames?

looks great! i like how you can't tell with out direct light on it but looks very good! very unique :)

Very, very NICE!;worship

I LOVE the understated look! If someone that looks at your car doesn't get it, it really doesn't matter because they will "never" get it!:(

GORGEOUS!

JMH, you did a FABULOUS job!

I had never seen 'ghost flames' before, and I think they look stunning!

I had a shrinkage issue with the front clip on my 69 after it sat out in the heat over the labor day weekend. Seems that the resin in the bonding agent I used to put the inner fenders in place reactivated and created a visual distortion.

Long story short, to make it perfect again I have to block the nose of the car down. I am waiting to make sure it is as cured as possible first.

My thoughts have been to go back with a black pearl ghost flame on the front clip of the 69. To me, it is one of the most trick thing to do without going overboard.

I am looking forward to your blow by blow descrip of exactly how you did yours, including if you could please the brand name of the materials you used and approx cost. Thanks!

Chris sorry to hear the bad news about your 69. i know how much hard work you put into it. i'm sure you'll get it right though :)
