Well, except for the broken "E" on the rear, and repainting my calipers, the exterior of my car is done.

Washed 'er, waxed 'era & snapped some shots to show off....er.... show you :upthumbs:

A couple are a little dark... I bought a cheapie digicam to replace the cheap one that broke... Click for larger shots....

Great looking paint! I like the Corvette logo on the hood.

You just can't see the chips... not too bad for original paint!

The Decal on the hood is from Mid America... I really like it. I wanted to add some black accents to help blend the black wheels into the red car...

very beautifull

to nice to drive I think....:cool

like it all, where did you get the hood decals?

Looks SWEAT!

I really love the hood decals!:_rock

Did you apply the decals youself? If so, was it difficult to get them place correctly?

Hummmm - if I can't spell, maybe I shouldn't think about sticking things to my car...

It is not that difficult. The trick is in laying it all out ahead of time so that you know everything is straight, have all of your materials close at hand and have a plan of attack.

I used Masking tape to lay out 2 lines across the width of the hood at top and bottom. I used a couple more small peices to tack the stickers in place so that I could shift them around & get them straight.

Then just spray the area, peel the backing so that the decal is on the waxed paper, apply, shift until it is right and use the squeegee to get the excess water out.

It is best to do this in a place with a moderate temp (75-85 or so). If the car is hot, the decal sticks MUCH faster and if it is too cold, then it doesn't want to stick at all.

Great. Thanks for the reply. I have copied your response to a document so that I can get to it later.

The Mid-America ad shows the decal on a white vette and my vette is white so I get a real look at what it would look like on my car.

Thanks for the info. Your car looks great.

Very nice--really like the slashes on the fender! Andy

Preacher, If you could polish the edge of the rim to break up the black, it would really set off the combination.

Car looks awesome!! I didn't think I'd like the hood decal, but you have changed my mind!!!!! What are you using on your tires??
