Well a picture thread just never gets old and it gives a chance to be able see each others cars,
And not to leave the C1 folks out of the mix I thought I would start it off with a picture of my little GEM.

So here is my Gem

gee Larry, after all the time you have already put into that car and it still looks like that? I think you need to speed things up if you plan on making Carlisle with it this year!
;LOL

Sorry Larry, only kidding. I know you have made a lot of progress on your project. I still can't believe how much you have gotten done is such a relatively short time.

favorite c-1

Here's my favorite c-1 shot.. it's my MOM AND DAD..getting ready to start the summer off with their annual drag race ..dad was always the heavy favorite..but only seem to catch mom at the very end..right before takeoff :)

Yeh thats my partner in crime. I miss him dearly. You should have seen my mothers face when she saw us unloading the truck into their garage. Had to put the good stuff in the living room:W :W :W

Is that your Dad in the picture,

I can tell by the look on his face what he was thinking.

the pictures I saw that made me buy her off a guy on EBay....had my dad go look at it for me (he is 82 now), he heard some bad noises out of the motor, got the guy to drop the price another $500 for me and end the auction early...figure I really saved then.....

Here's my '59 doing what it is usually doing. Setting and waiting it's turn.

The second one I took when those aliens flew in the open garage door and landed under the '59. I always thought that flying saucers were bigger than that.:crazy

Your car looks great,I loved the looks of the 61/62 rear veiw because it looks like the midyears.

But the 58 thru 60 have really grown on me alot. If I was shopping for a new project car I would be searching for a 58 thru 60.

Thanks for sharing the photos

Here was not only my first Vette, but my first car. I bought it at the age of 15 in 1970 (for $300). It took a year and $2500 more dollars to get it into this shape. I sold it in 1976 for $3600 (I thought I made a killing). I still cry myself to sleep over this sometimes.

Wow..!!! Gives the term "Basket Case" a complete new meaning. You should be very proud....getting all that back together..!!

It's good to see another Vette has been saved.

Nice work.:beer
