I'm building my son a 411 diff with all the HD goodies, Steel cap, solid sleeve, 10-17 spiders, new posi case that's polished with tuned solid steel clutches, ARP RG bolts, and got to the pinios seal and had to machine it to fit. I mentioned this on the threads where I have all the procedures and pictures but in case someone doesn't know about those and plans on a pinion seal replacement be sure to check the fit.
I had to remove the seal flange because the bore depth was too shallow and the seal would hit the yoke shield just enough to drag and cause a false reading on the preload.
I've rebuild plenty of vette diffs and this is the only one I ever found this on. Just a heads up for you guys.
