Noticed some movement at the pitman arm and PS control valve connection. Dont know yet which part has damage till it comes apart. My question. Is the ball stud on the control valve replacable or does the whole valve need to be replaced?

There's an aftermarket rebuild kit for the valve which includes a replacement stud if you want to DIY. http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort Corvette Central has them; other vendors will also list the kits.

Used the rebuild kit and it worked well for a while. After a couple of years I ended up buying another PS control valve already assembled. If I did it over again I would just replace the valve in the first place.

Ive got some pretty good movement right at the pitman and stud connection up high at the castle nut. I'll bet both parts are shot. I'm not going to tear it down till Ive got the funds to replace control and pitman if needed. Thanks guys
