Have re programmed my FOBs a couple times since March this year.
New batteries in each one.

Just dont seem to hold their memory or something.

Well, reprogrammed them before going on vacation last week.
We get about to Nashville on day 3 and the PKE light on the Dash comes on and stays on till we cut off the car.

Attempted to re program the next morning and nothing.

Any leads or suggestions?

Rain -

I have had the same problem and have not been able to reprogram FOB's for about 4 months now...Let me know if you hear of anything that works...

At this point are saying that the door and hatch buttons don't work either?

If it isn't a fuse then sounds like PKE receiver. Have you searched previous posts? I recall numerous discussions on this.

Yes, the FOB will open the rear hatch and the pass door fine.

Just bothered me when the PKE light came on while driving and stayed on.

Then would not reprogram per instructions in the owners manual.

Need to pull the FOB apart and check the little ball I have read about that usually needs cleaning.

Just baffled me that I keep loosing PKE. Reprogramming it, and loosing it again.
(with new batteries in each FOB)

Then with this recent drive and the PKE staying lit, it sounded like more than a minor problem.

Thanks
Rain

With mine I can not get PKE to program. Pulled dash apart and tested receiver according to big red book - it seems to work fine.

I have no functionality of doors or hatch at all. using key works but is getting old.

pke

I had what seems to be the same problem about a year ago, My sollution was to change the door contacts. These things wear with the opening and closing of the doors.

from left field

When my cell phone charger is plugged in the cigarette lighter of my '95 coupe, the PKE must be very close to the car (inches) to work at all.
One of my kids has a '99 Grand Prix and had lost his keyless fob (not passive) a long time ago. He finally bought a new one and was complaining that it was intermittent. I told him of my experience and he verified that when his phone charger was plugged in, his remote 'key' didn't work.
Strange?
