Polyester Strech Bra/front cover

It's getting near love bug time here in Florida, I will need get my lady a front cover or something for her Vette. I do not like plastic bras very much except where they are a must. I saw a polyester knit strech to fit at the Ecklers store and was wondering if anyone had tried it. $139 is pretty high if it is worthless. It is called an I'll paste it from site. EZ-E-Fit "Keeps It Clean" Nose Mask Black They also have mirror covers from same fabric

Hey 29North,
I did a forum search on front end bras, and could only find two threads pertaining to C5 owners about front end bras. (Thread #1; Thread #2).

First, a word of caution: if you are intent to get a front end bra, rather than some of the clear coat plastic to preserve the front end appearance of your Vette, you should be aware that a common issue of owners of cars with front end bras is that they have to be careful to frequently take them off and wash/wax the areas where the bra touches the car. The heat, rain and wind will result in the bra adhereing itself to the car in a way that can scratch or damage the finish. For this reason, many folks opt for the clear coat.

If you are intent on a front end bra, you might try checking with MidAmerica Corvette (a sponsor here at CAC). I know they have a number of bras, in a variety of colors too. Good luck with your search!

Clear Plastic For Front End

I believe I saw this "process" at a car show some months ago. I'd consider it because my car is a daily driver. What's the cost, and what have been the results? Does this process really protect agains stone chips and do you have to renew it from time to time?

My brother got the set of bra+mirror covers for his 97 two years ago and they are great! There is no air resistance because it is open mesh so there is no flapping in the wind.
And it looks sexy too.

IMHO if you must use protective coating make it transparent. We love the C5's for their unique good looks and classy lines. Don't hide the beauty under a traditional bra - I am talking about our cars here.
