The Chevy intake, GM part 17113201, could be used as a lower intake piece for the crossfire system. A custom upper piece would need to be machined- but it could be a great start for someone who didn't want to kill themselves with mods and still retain the look of the crossfire. Some grinding off of the EGR, grinding of other non-essential provisions, and plugging off other unused stuff would go a long way. Then, some pipe plugs could be used to seal off the injector bungs- or used for NO2.
The intake itself could be purchased from Ebay for less than $100.00 or so. Not too bad considering most Vortec intakes cost $300 or more.
Part comes on '96-02 Vortec 5.7 and 5.0 trucks.
