Possible "Rain X" Issue

Over the weekend I changed the windshield washer bottle, filter and pump on my EBay '89 (the pump ran but no water came out, and I figured something was clogged. No amount of "reverse blowing" through the line would unclog it). When I took out the old bottle and really examined it, I noticed that a whitish/blue gummy substance had, essentially, clogged the filter and also attached itself to various places inside the bottle. There was a blue/green windshield washer fluid in the old bottle, as well. I bought some Rain X windshield washer fluid (purple color--"bug" formula with Rain-X windshield stuff in it), and when filling the system this morning noticed some orange colored "slime" comming out. Of course, I immediately stopped filling and emptied the washer bottle as best I could with a Turkey baster, and poked around to make sure no slime was still inside (I think I got it all), before filling with plain water. The consistency of the slime reminded me of the stuff clogging the old filter, and I am wondering whether some of these new, higher-tech fluids may have a problem. I have used Rain X before with no problem, but I am not using it now. Anyway, I don't know if anyone has had this problem, or I just got a bad batch, but be on the lookout for it. Now, the windshield washer system puts the Trevi fountains to shame---much impressed!

Could it possibly be a reaction between two different washer fluids?

Here at home, I had a nearly empty windex bottle and I needed a sprayer for some 409 so I just poured the 409 on top of the inch or so of windex in the bottom of the sprayer. Within a short time, I had blue 'clumps' floating in the solution... :/

That's a good point, and it may be the case with respect to the slime in the old bottle (I've only had the car two months). But, then, the new Rain X jug shouldn't have had anything other than the Rain X in it, yet there was slime there as well. Weird---I may contact Rain X and ask them about it.
