Potenial C5 purchase

Looking to buy a fairly high mileage C5 vette (approx. 100K ) in the very near future. I am looking to upgrade the engine in approx. 9 months and that is why mileage can be higher than usual. I need information,experiences, etc. about this type of purchase. I want to drive the car while researching the engine mods so I need to know about pitfalls, what to look for, potential problems, that sort of thing,
Would appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

I have over 100K miles on my C5, they're great high mileage Vette's.

At 100K the engine is just broken in.....really, if the car has been maintained properly, 100K isn't all that much. Leaky butt is common (leaks around the output stub axle seals) Most anything you run across, we can guide you through fixing here.
