power antenna

My 93's power antenna when fully retracted still sticks up about 3 inches. Do I need to replace the antenna or will one of the antenna mast kits work for this condition? I'm sure someone out there has had a similar condition.

The kits work fine but the job doesn't always go as well as you would hope . If you can't get the new piece to go in all the way you might have to pull the whole assembly off and drill out the three plastic rivets . Then you can remove the round cover and access the critical parts . This is worst case senario but is really easy to do .
