Greetings all,
As part of my 68 restoration, I replaced the original power antenna which wasn't operating. I had read or heard somewhere that exhaust heat seems to be always a factor for power antenna motors getting zapped. So when I installed the new antenna, I wrapped it with the same type of heat shielding thats available for starters. Well, it didn't last long and I now have another dead antenna. Any ideas on how to protect these suckers from getting zapped?
I've been told that the AC/Delco antennas are basically trash by a vendor (even though they sold them). Any of you found a brand that lasts?
Thanks!
