2005 Yellow
I just purchased a 2005 Yellow Corvette. I knew the drivers power seat was not working when I bought it. The passenger seat works so I know the fuse is good, but I checked it anyway and it is good. I need to remove the seat to get to the wiring. The problem is the seat is all the way back, and I cannot get to the two nuts in the back of the seat bracket. There has to be a way to manually move the seat forward. Anybody have any ideas? thanks!

stuck driver's seat

Can you remove the switch harness to check continuity? Anyhow, seems you should have sufficient room to get a socket on the nuts to unbolt the back.

The seat was all the way back and blocking any access to the nuts in the back of the frame. There is not enough clearance to get to the connector on the motor. What I had to do was pull the upholstery off on the bottom of the seat. I did some damage to the upholstery, but I repaired it. Once I got the upholstery removed I had access to the connector on the motor. I removed the connector and used a 12 volt to hotwire the motor and move it forward enough to remove the nuts. The problem with the motor was that the red and black power wires going to the black box that is mounted under the seat were broken off.
