Hey all, the passenger side window on my '86 coupe goes down to about 3 inches above the door and stops there. It goes back up just fine. Any suggestions on what to do to get it all the way down? ;help
Thanks in advance

Pull the door panel and check the travel.

If your still having problems monday I will ask one of my techs.

I work for a glass company.

Yes I think it has to be binding on something within the door, so you will need to pull off the panel, make sure you get all the screws out. It's a bit tedious(but not as bad as plugs 2 and 4 ) ! Roger.

you might have tried this ,activate the window while checking the track , make sure that the track itself isn't moving, check the spring.

Watched the travel of the window, nothing seemed to be out of whack by the motor or the base. When I looked towards the speaker box area, there it was....the group of wires going to the outside mirror somehow ended up on the outerside of the window, preventing it from traveling all the way down. Was able to hook the wires over the gass and everything is fine now. Thanks for the input!
