I been reading all the threads containing issues with starting. First I want to thank all of you who have posted your issues and solutions. I wanted to share with all of you what I found to be my problem and solution. I first changed the fuel filter and no change. Still starts but wont stay running. :mad I had to splice the fuel line at the fuel filter to put a Fuel Pressure Tester on and I saw I was at 5 psi :duh. I wanted to go with a stronger fuel pump but was afraid to go with a 85 fuel pump due to too much psi. I found a Bosch fuel pump at 23 psi and went with it and the new filter, gasket and all the other stuff to do it right. After all said and I spent $150.00 for all the new parts, the problem was a less then a dollar! It was the fuel hose inside the tank which attaches the fuel pump to the steel line to the TBI. Well no sense in not installing all the new parts and now it runs awesome!! Vette Fuel Line.JPG

Thank you for the good report! We are all using this forum to learn from each other, and to try to help each other. Many times this is only a one way street. Lots of people offer help, but the person receiving the benefit doesn't respond to let us know how the problem was solved! That's the only way we all can learn, is if the right answer is posted! Good job! Sorry for all the money spent to get the education, but now you won't have to worry about those parts for a long time.
