Problem with radio reception ?

This was the C5 problem. Evidentally, the sending units had to "balance" between the two tanks and every so often, the gauge would suddenly read "E" and the low fuel signal would flash. Talk about ones heart in their stomach!!!!

Reception Problem Fix

When I was at the C6 Quality Clinic in Bowling Green in April, a guy from Siemens (they make the radio head) plugged his laptop into my dash and updated the software in the radio. This solved my static problem and also improved the sound quality rather dramatically. I also suddenly had low/med/high choices for the auto volume control, where before I just had on/off.
I have the non-Nav radio with the 6 CD changer, which is different from yours, but I suspect a software update might help yours, too. Ask GM about it if your dealer doesn't know.

My buddy just had his radio swapped out last week. His C6 was delivered last July, but winter storage did the radio in.
The dealer did it under warranty.
