Hey guys, has anyone pulled the engine and transmission out of a c3 at the same time? I did this with a 3rd gen Trans Am I redid with no problems. It has the Muncie manual in it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Peace :cool Bud

great info

Thanks for the great link. I bought a leveler just for this purpose. There seems to be even more room than there was on the Pontiac. Happy New Year!! Bud

I just completed a RR on my big-block and although I removed the hood, radiators and support, it was still tricky geting the engine and bell housing all back in and seated on the mounts with out damaging any of the delicate fiberglass. There isn't much clearence between the bell housing and the firewall when reinstalling it. Besides, unbolting the trany from the engine was not difficult and once the enging is out the 4speed will be very easy to remove. I'm sure you have more room if you have a SB. You may also consider the maximum height if the crane that you will be using to ensure that you will clear the car. the tilt hoist will come in quite handy, Good Luck!
