I would recommend calling the place you got the cam kit from and seeing what they say about the correct length for your application.:w

i see no reason to change your pushrod legnth. you didnt change your heads or rocker arms did you? check to make sore your rockers are running in the center of your valve stem.mark the tip of the valve stem with a blk magic marker install your rocker arm and set it per specs. then rotate the engine by hand till your marked valveopens and closes. then remove your rocker and check you stem to see the wear on the marked tip. if your mark is off center of the tip toward the intake they are to long, if it is toward the wheel its to short. if its centered it just right

Yes, I did change the Rocker Arms, its a LT4 Hot Cam Kit.

Thanks, problem solved..

90 cam change

Hi
I also have a 90 L98 and am going to do a cam change. Did you have any problem with clearances due to the .525 lift of the Hot cam? Retainer to valve guide clearance ok?

No, just with the rocker arm adjusting nuts.

If you have to ask a question like this you should keep your hand off of it. Sorry!

I'm with road agent but I'll answer. 1) the hot cam roller rocker adjusting nuts are close to the top of the rocker but clear just fine. The low clearance helps them not to hit the center bolt valve covers. 2) if the heads aren't changed the stock length pushrods work fine. 3) you shouldn't put a cam with over about .480 valve lift in an L98 motor as you will be tempting coil bind. At least put in the hot cam springs which are good to just .525 valve lift. Springs are cheaper than messing the whole top end up.

If I'm not mistaken the "hot Cam kit" comes with new valve springs as well....right? I believe that you will be OK with the stock length push rods along with the new rockers and springs.
