Hey guys, I have to opportunity to buy a rebuild Quadrajet from a '79 L82. I have read many times in this forum about the all around great performance of a properly tuned Q-jet. My questions are; what is the cfm of this unit? For some reason somewhere in the high 700s' sticks in my mind. Also will I need some kind of adaptor for my Holley dual plane Street Dominator intake. Thanks for any info. peace Bud

Between 750 CFM and 795 CFM.

My original one on the 81 was a computer controlled 795 CFM. I now have a Edelbrock QJet (1903). It is 795 CFM.

Cheers

Tony

750 cfm. You will need an adaptor but it would be better to change to a spreadbore intake.

Hey Tony and Mike, thanks for the replies. Does anyone know the part number for the intake I need. I have an intake GM#14057053 It was off of a 305 I rebuilt years ago. Bud
