I've cleaned up and rebuilt the stock carb on my L48. But I'm moving to Colorado this month and will need to lean out my mixture because of the altitude change. (around 7,000 ft) I'm having trouble finding a place that sells assortments of the needle jets. Does anyone know where I can find some? Also, what are the stock sizes for a 1974 L48 so I know where to start?

Edelbrock sells Q-jet metering rods and jets. Also, take a look at www.corvettefaq.com. There are several good articles by Lars Grimsrud on Q-jet tuning. He also has listed the factory jetting for all years and a chart to help with selecting larger or smaller jets and metering rods for Q-jets. He is also in Colo, so you might look him up. Hope this helps.
