Hi I'm new to the forum and am not much of a corvette person (knowledge wise)! I have ran across a set of aluminum heads for a big block chev. and was hoping some of the guru's could help with identifying and pricing of them!

The heads have winters foundry marks on them: the casting numbers are 3919842 w/casting dates of 3.27.67 and 3.26.67 the threads have been heli-coiled and there doesn't appear to be any weld repairs at all!

I also have an intake with winters mark casting number 3937797, tri-power intake but has sadly been polished and has a weld repair on one intake runner but has the carbs as well the casting on the intake is 3.8.68. The carbs are: rear= 3902353-EU
3659 833
middle= 3925517-EV
4055 823
front= 3902353- EU
3659 833

Also have a complete air cleaner set-up for said carbs with two tops and reason to believe they aren't reproduction! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

John

hi. welcome to CAC :CAC

heads: that casting number is not listed for any Corvette between '53 thru '67 in my NCRS book.

intake: that casting number is not listed for any Corvette between '53 thru '67 in my NCRS book.

carbs: The front and rear carbs are correct #'s for the '67 L-71 427/435hp motor. The center carb is incorrect for the same motor and I have no listing for the # in my NCRS book.

sorry I couldn't be more help. Others with much more knowlege I'm sure will chime in and be able to identify your heads, intake, and center carb.

Thank you for the help Barry, the info that I have gathered so far would indicate the cylinder heads to be correct for the 67 and 68 L-88 corvette! Thanks again!

the NCRS book lists the proper heads for the L88 & L89 as # 3904392 for '67. I don't have the info for years after '67.

Thanks Doug

The action center specs is were I gathered the info from, it shows the casting # to be correct for the 68 but no casting number for the 67, and with so few being built and with the March 67 casting numbers on these heads I am hoping that these might be correct for the 67 L88 as well! I believe the 3904392 casting # to be correct for the 69 L88, please correct me if I'm wrong! Thanks again for the replies!

John, chevy by the #s lists #3919842 for 68 and 69 camaro 396/375 L89, 68 corvette 427 L88 and L89 and 69 corvette L89 and 69 chevelle 396/375 L89.
3904392 is for 67 corvette L88 and L89. Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Gerry

The 842 heads were used on '68 L-88/89, and on '69 L-89's; '67 L-88/89 used 3904392 heads. The intake is from a late '68-'69 L-71.
