Yesterday I took the Vette out for the first time in 5 days. As soon as I got on the hi-way it started missing and the check engine soon light flashed a few times.
When I popped the hood I found the remains of a mouse attached to the #4 sparkplug wire. I removed the carbonized mouse and wrapped some plastic around the wire so I could get home. The car ran fine the 4 miles to the house.
This morning I pulled the codes and found, C41, H41, H72, and H 32.
I ordered a set of MSD wires which will be here on Thursday. I will not use the car until the new wires are on.
My question is could all of those codes have been set by the mouse chewing on the sparkplug wire while I was starting the car or did the critter chew up something else?
