LT4 Question on roof tint.

Since the roof on my 96 LT4 is acrylic, I am a little reluctant to use the adhesive backed film commonly used to tint glass. My fear is that the adhesive may migrate into the acrylic and possibly cause crazing. Does anyone on this forum have any suggestion on darkening the roof? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I bought the static cling vinyl from Mid America Motorworks. Works nicely.

Has many little holes in it so you can still see out of it. Cuts down on the amount of heat that comes into the cabin.
