1962 rebuild in progress
Evening folks. Will soon be getting my engine back from the rebuilder and will getting ready to place the engine and tranny back on the frame. Question comes into being on the 327/300hp with a powerglide, the AIM shows a hardline vacumm going from the modulator on the tranny to the back of the AFB (I have the 3310S), I have been unable to find this particular piece of vacuun hardline and would like to see if anyone has any suggestions on the size of the line if I have to form it myself. Also The AIM shows an elbow that the vacuum hardline goes into on the carb any suggestions for that piece would also be appreciated. I will still be using the left rear stud to feed the vacuum for the Dist. and the washer system, ect. Thanks for any input and assistance.

what is the "AIM" to which you refer? Where on a powerglide are the casting numbers. I understand 65-67 Vettes all used the same unit. My tank sticker says my 4 speed 67 came with an automatic so I bought a powerglide on a skid with all the related parts in '96. How can I tell the casting date of the auto and is it true that the P/G should be dated 2-6 months before the car's build date. I have Nolan Adams' text on 63-67s but its not quite specific enough, any help?

The AIM is the assembly instruction manual for your particular year of corvette and is really a must when it comes to reference and build info. You can order one though most corvette parts vendors, down in your neck of the woods you might check with Gulf Coast Corvette in Humble, Tx. for info. I don't have much info on 67 powerglide, on 62 and 63 stamping location for date codes and such were located on the right hand side at the base of the pan. Most info that I have found was checking through the internet, various formums like CAC, and reference material like the AIM and Nolan Adams, and NCRS. Good Luck

Call Dr. Rebuild, but do NOT call on the toll free number, call on the toll number. He is a great source for tubing and rubber hoses etc., and really is knowledgeble, most likely he will have it in stock... Sorry I don't have his number.

Thanks will give him a call, I have some of his info. I appreciate your input.
