Yes.

There was a difference of opinions which has been resolved very satisfactorily.
He is starting fresh with a new User ID and while his personality still shines through in his posts, I think he has done a wonderful job learning what is tolerated at Corvette Action Center, and has become an informative member who contributes his information as it is available to him.
Heidi

Indeed! Hmmm Heidi now you are making me thirsty for a Gin and Tonic :D

Who is the other BI then? I have seen one that has posted here in C6 form. Is BLACK ICE also CFour, here? Confused!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes.

The member first registered here at CAC as BlackIce.
The confusion of how this site is run occured (CF vs CAC) and a minor confrontation ensued. BlackIce was banned.
BlackIce re-registered under CFour and spoke with Rob and was re-instated, however, the member did not wish to revive his BlackIce handle and wanted to stay with the CFour User ID, because he wanted to start fresh.
Heidi

Ok, thanks, that is what I originally thought.

However, I am confused. Black Ice seemed excited and very positive about the whole Cadillac-Corvette connection for C6. Lately I have seen a lot of negative Cadillac posts from you. Why the change?

Brett

I see the negativity too,

but...I think it stems from wanting the Cadillac to stand on its' own merit and not ride in on the Corvette's coat-tails and attempt to upstage Corvette.

That's how I see it, anyway.

Let me make myself clear. I think the C6 is a very well done car and attractive. BUT!! I Will NEVER like the idea of Cadillacs involvement/influence all over C6 I HATE IT. and I mean all over! Because the Cadillac will come out first and they share so many features its going to appear as if the Corvette has stolen a lot of the Cadillacs features not the other way around. The Cadillac will appear as the car with the "first's" not Corvette.

So then explain your comments:

"Corvette will get many trickle down parts from Cadillac, and have quality and technology throughout that Chevy could only dream of."

"You know Corvette will now be a REAL 50 thousand dollar car, instead of a 50 thousand dollar car with Malibu components."

?

Still confused.

I understand what you are saying about it making Cadillac look like it is coming out with them first, but EVERYONE knows Cadillac and Chevy are both GM. I don't find it to be that big of a deal if it makes Corvette a BETTER car. That's the botton line here.

Brett

Not confused at all what I said and you quoted I stand behind 100%. Corvette is going to benefit from Cadillac. BUT Cadillac will Benefit MUCH MUCH more and EXPLOIT the fact the XLR is a cousin of Corvette. Corvette needs to stand alone even if this means a little less Foof from the Cadillac camp. C6 is going to be a WONDERFUL Cadillacd up car but now joined at the hip to XLR. What about my statement don't you understand? If I want to buy a car loaded with Cadillac features I will go to ummmmm Cadillac and buy one. I don't need or want a Foofed up Corvette all I need is one thats built well and gives me the features that have been offered for the last 50 years. I don't think Cadillac parts should be seen in a Corvette ever, but this is not going to be the case for C6. It (C6) will be a very nice car indeed don't get me wrong, but its really 1/2 Cadillac now and IMO this IS WRONG. You WILL get more content for your money with C6, Cadillac content good or bad thats what its going to be.

Still you must realize that it's two different markets and the DIE HARDS will know the TRUTH and the truth shall set you free to release the Jedi Power:r that only the Force of 50 years of hertiage:pat can bring! Then we will be able to stand tall and ask,"Caddy Whose Your Daddy?":Buttslap

Well...I agree with you for the most part, however, aren't you the least bit excited at the fact that the C6 interior will be higher in quality and more... "in-tune" with the interior quality of the XLR? Especially since the interior of the XLR has received relatively good reviews.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for unique brand identity which is why I was dissapointed to see the C5 come out wearing Oldsmobile Aurora (?) door handles, but if lessons in quality and function can be brought from one platform and integrated into another, I'm all for it. :)
