Quick decipher on trim tag

Barry,

Don't have build date, but have VIN 194675S121668. I know there is a way to estimate build from the VIN, but is there another way? Am I correct that 0603 translates to June 03?

That '65 was produced on July 8th, so the June 3rd engine is fine. The build date code on the A.O. Smith trim tag is K21 (June 21st), so that's fine too; 1965 A.O. Smith trim tags didn't have the model year shown ahead of the body style like St. Louis trim tags did.
